This story is about an empty chair at the back of the class, then 1 day a mysterious boy joined the school, his seat is at the back of the class in the empty seat. Everyone is suspicious about him because he never goes out to play and he is so quiet. The author of the book is called Onjali Q Rauf, I made a biography about Onjali.

The country with no Mcdonalds

Have anyone heard of a country with no Mcdonalds? Well there is 1 country that doesn’t have Mcdonalds and that country is… Iceland! Iceland closed it’s doors on Mcdonalds because at the beginning  Iceland had one of the highest prices for the Big Mac burger in the whole world in the year of 2009 due to the financial crash that happened in 2008. On the last day that Mcdonalds were opened Icelanders crowded the Mcdonalds store to eat there for one more time. More than 10,000 burgers were sold that day!

This week was Kiwi Kids Read Off so our class got to chose anything we wanted to blog about! But we could only choose what we wanted to blog about on Kiwi Kids News, I chose about the Mcdonalds departure from Iceland here is a Google Slide about the departure of Mcdonalds in Iceland.

Submarines

Submarines are used to support and defend fleet ships but that is only in special forces. Cornelis drebbel was the first person to ever create a submarine he created the submarine because he wanted to improve the human understanding in the marine life but years later they were used as an army defence.  Large sheets of steel are rolled and welded into the shape of the inner and outer hulls. Scaffolding is erected during manufacture so accessibility remains unencumbered. this is how submarines are made
