Seaweek Video

Our reading task is about seaweek,  Seaweek is a week where we make a canva or do something to help our enviroment. We can help our enviroment by picking up bits of rubbish, paper and plastic.  Why I think that caring for our enviroment is so important is in this canva.

This is a canva about caring for our enviroment.

Buddy Reading

At school every fridays we have buddy reading today our task was to take a photo of us and our buddies in a creative place. I did my photo on the slide. Our buddy class was with room 7. I enjoyed spending time with my buddies and friends. I found it challenging to find the perfect spot to take our pic. Here is a canva of our reading time.

Zydeco

At school we are reading a book called Wonder in the book there is a character called Justin he is Via’s boyfriend and he plays Zydeco music with the zydeco here is some research that I have done about the Zydeco.

Anti bullying poster

Today at school I did this poster about not bullying. Bullying can make people’s lives miserable and they might hurt themselves because of how stressed they feel about being bullied. Have you ever been bullied? If you have do you know how it feels? The feeling of being bullied is a very sad feeling it feels that the world doesn’t care about you when there are actually plenty of people that care about especially your family and friends.

Electric circuits

This week I was learning about electric circuits.

I enjoyed the part where me and my group got play dough, battery, wire and a light bulb and connected all of them together to make the light bulb light up.

I found it challenging to actually understand the concept of the experiment we were doing.

My digital learning shows that I have used a electric circuit using this device because we played an electric circuit game.

Next time I would change my light bulb to make it cooler

What we did at the museum

We did a lot of fun things in the museum. A teacher led us through the main centre so we had to behave well. Next we walked to the museum classroom for school visits and the teacher introduced her self. She grabbed out a board of what Turanga-nui-a-kiwa looks like now then she made us close our eyes and told us to try to imagine how Turanga would’ve looked like a few hundred years ago. When she finally told us to open our eyes we saw Turanga in the past. Everything looked so different! There were no towers or buildings or houses just a lot of water and plants. It looks like the maori people from the past were very close to nature. Then she told us about how the people survived she said they didn’t take too much they took just enough for themselves and their people when food supplies were running low they would put a land mark that told the people they were not allowed to go there. After we did a very fun project we went for a treasure hunt , of course I didn’t know where much of the things were so I just went to places there were lots of people. Part of the treasure hunt was that we went to a small cottage and we had to find stuff on our map that said what we had to find. I went upstairs to see what was up there and I found 1 thing on the map. It was a dishcloth doll made out of eating equipment like spoons for the bodys and dishcloth for the clothes and an old mop for the hair. After this treasure hunt we did sowing I was really bad at it so most of the time I would need my mum to help me. Sadly we didn’t finish in time so we put our bag in a big bag then left.
